Celebration of Women in Business Event Review

What an incredible day we had last Friday. I’d just like to take a moment now to thank everybody involved. From the enthusiastic interns who helped organise the event, to the speakers, to our wonderful guests.

So much hard work was put into the afternoon and it really did pay off. We started the afternoon by networking over a mince pie before settling down to listen to Andy Cope.

What can I say about Andy’s workshop. Seriously brilliant. I think he there and then converted everybody into a 2%er. I hope everybody gets the opportunity to meet and listen to him at once in their life! If you haven’t heard him speak then at least read one of his books, I can highly recommend The Art of Being Brilliant – you can read it in an afternoon!

Paula went on to speak about why giving discount in your business makes you a liar and what an interesting concept. I certainly won’t be discounting my products anymore. It’s all about adding value and being reassuringly expensive!

Adele finished off our afternoon with an exciting talk about goal GETTING and making sure we can achieve our goals for 2018. Techniques I have put into practice immediately!

I left the afternoon feeling truly proud of what Robyn and myself have achieved over the last 6 months and with a feeling of excitement at what is to come for The Diamond Initiative in 2018. We are turning into one of the best networking groups for women in business in the Derby region and it’s amazing to see. It really is a strong community of like minded women who really strive to achieve. And in the words of Corri, from Trees, Bees and Marshmallows, ‘your vibe attracts your tribe.’

Merry Christmas, Roseanna x

Roseanna has hit the nail on the head. I sat listening to Andy Cope thinking about how far everyone had come in 2017, and a huge smile spread across my face. We have all achieved so much, and I am really proud to be a part of such an amazing group of women.

The inspirational speakers left me with many ideas I can put into practice not only in my business life but my personal life, I am really excited to see the changes that these new ideas will bring in 2018!

I would like to thank everyone who was a part of the event, and I can’t wait to see you all at the January event.
